What is iBreathe Inc?

"Equipping Future Leaders!"

This is a family based Non-Profit Organization that exists primarily to breathe encouragement, hope, love & life into our future leaders. Whether their goal is to become an Educator, a Doctor, a Lawyer, a Chemist, etc., let's get them fully equipped & headed into the right direction! iBreathe was just an idea in 2009.  It wasn't until August 25, 2010 that it was incorporated by Sheena Benson. Her father passed away exactly 30 days later from battling with lung cancer. Taking him to his breathing treatment appointments, she gained a new perspective of how vital each breath that we take is. She saw a higher importance of a parent-to-child bond. This moment was pivotal. After long periods of no contact with her father, she (and her brothers) had to move him up north and take care of him. This was a dream of hers; reconnecting with her Father & starting a family business with him by her side. She felt it'd display that it's never too late to rectify things & strengthen bonds. 

On her trips to the Veterans Hospital with her Father, she payed attention to every single word that the doctors said, and to every minute detail on the breathing machines. With each breath her Father took, she too found herself being short of breath. Not being sure of whether or not it was psychological or if it was an epiphany of some sort, she felt there was a deeper connection to what she was feeling  at that present moment. 

It was at that moment in the Veteran's Hospital that she felt iBREATHE should be the name of her organization.There's life beyond what may have seemed like the end, breathe on. Breathe on. It is vital as a Parent/Community to be able to come together and breathe love, life, hope and much more into our offspring--our future leaders. The plan was to start an organization with her Father by her side. It takes a complete unit to raise children. (Testimonials, experience, direction, support, etc.) When her Father passed, it dampened the mood severely to continue on. It took Sheena 4 years to get it together and bring forth the 1st iBreathe Inc. event. It was a successful back to school supply drive. She raised over $255 (not including her own money) in less than 14 days using social media as a means of awareness for the event. So many families were able to benefit. 

She has a burning passion to help strengthen family units by building a bridge to helpful resources to those children/family units in need. She feels that there is so much talent & potential in hiding for fear of not being 'able' to succeed. Lack of confidence is detrimental to growth. No matter what the circumstance is, no matter what type of environment you came from, whether you have a traditional or untraditional family, you're still breathing. Don't allow anything to suffocate your hope, your ambition or your future.

It's time to dream again!   

 We will be adopting an inner city school to donate to throughout the year, as well as holiday drives, tutoring & counseling services. There are so many hands out there just waiting to be connected with someone who BELIEVES in them. We are here to help build each other up!
