Tonight, he said, "Goodbye."
Tonight, he said, "Goodbye."
Many are sad, most are fearful.
Fearful in thoughts of what happens next when the President of change and hope leaves Office.
Tonight, he said, "Goodbye."
This doesn't mean that your hope of change should dissipate
No, no--your ambition, your hope & drive
Do not erase
For this isn't the time to collapse
But rather a time to commence & collaborate
If anything should dissipate, let it be the lack of love & support for your fellow brothers
If anything should dissipate, let it be the lack of anything that weakens us as a whole, as a race
Arise each morning with a common goal
To try and succeed
To be a victor & not defeated
Tonight, he said, "Goodbye."
Many are feeling defeated but that shouldn't be the case
For this is only a time to tighten our shoestrings & finish the race
With heads held high & a steady pace
With a stride that will be a glide of hope in your fellow brothers eyes.
Yes, it's true.. Tonight, he said, "Goodbye."
But it's not the end for you & I.
