BREAKthrough

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
- Isaiah 43:19

Don't stay closed up, bound by whatever it is that is holding you up from moving forward. BREAKthrough!
  • If it's forgiveness, work on it. Pray, it off of you. God cannot forgive you until you have fully forgiven. There's no half stepping there. Forgiving doesn't always equate to forgetting either, so don't be dismayed if the sting is still there. Just continue to pray and do your best at loving in spite of, praying in spite of until you no longer feel the sting of why you held onto un-forgiveness for so long. Also, consistently talking to Jesus in prayer daily wouldn't hurt either-he's closer than you think. Just speak your requests just as Philippians 4:6 says.
  • If it's lack of understanding, lean on God and he will clear it all up. Proverbs 3:5 talks about what we should/shouldn't depend on--self. We will fail ourselves back to back if we do.
  • If it's regret, know that it was on the cross already with the blood that was shed. Forgiven. It's gone. The solution is really simple--just confess what you regret with your words, with all of your heart and ask God to forgive you. 1 John 1:9 confirms this for us.
  • If it's your words. Cussing; pray it off of you.
  • Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tounge" (be careful)
  • Proverbs 15: 1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but hard words stir up anger.”
  • Proverbs 11:9 “Evil words destroy one’s friends; wise discernment rescues the godly.”
  • Proverbs 18:4 “A person’s words can be life-giving water; words of true wisdom are as refreshing as a bubbling brook.
  • Proverbs 11:12 “It is foolish to belittle a neighbor; a person with good sense remains silent”
  • Proverbs 11:17 “Your own soul is nourished when you are kind, but you destroy yourself when you are cruel.”
  • Proverbs 15:4 “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit”
  • Proverbs 16:24 “Kind words are like honey–sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
  • Proverbs 18:20 “Words satisfy the soul as food satisfies the stomach; the right words on a person’s lips bring satisfaction.”
  • Proverbs 20:15 “Wise speech is rarer and more valuable than gold and rubies.”

  • If it's your thoughts, read your bible or even google biblical scriptures about peace, wisdom, etc. Meditate on these daily until it's a reality. Ephesians 4:23 "Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes"

  • If it's the stigmatism of people based upon ill experiences, remember that it's not that person per say but a spirit. Ephesians 6:12 confirms this. Don't focus on people. Don't place people of pedestals. If you do, they will fall and fail your expectations repeatedly. Save yourself the headache and just stay in prayer. Pray for those who persecute you, plot against you and simply have ill intentions.

  • If it's doubt or fear that is keeping you bound, meditate on Jeremiah 29:11.

  • If it's perfection; fear of not meeting expectations of others or society.. Know that you are already fearfully & wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). There's no need to stress over fitting the ideal image that society has made, be who you were created to be--unique, powerful and impactful. It's not you that needs the makeover all of the time, sometimes its the universe. And since we cannot change the universe, we must stay true to ourselves, our beliefs and never conform just as Romans 12:2.
If it's an addiction of any sort, choose to be stronger than hour oppressor. Take the first few steps boldly and watch the rest of the journey to recovery be a sprint.
Whatever it is that's keeping you confined, lay before God, pray and believe.. Until that thing is broken.

Keep in mind that these things are not a DIY (Do It Yourself) task.. you will need Jesus. Trust when I say, it's easier to do it God's way than our way. Save yourselves the time of repeating the same lessons/consequences.

#COMEOUT of your bondage & get to where God has called you to be.

I hope that this helped you as it helped me in writing it.
