The Smiths Are At It Again!

Just in, that Will Smith is set to take on yet another powerful role. He'll be portraying the Biblical figure, Job. The Movie, titled Joe, will a modernized version of the story of Job.

Some may be inquiring what the movie will be about. For those who don't  know,
the Book of Job (in the Bible) begins with an introduction to Job’s character. He is described as a blessed man who lives righteously. Satan challenges Job’s integrity, proposing to God that Job serves him simply because God protects him. God removes Job’s protection, allowing Satan to take his wealth, his children, and his physical health in order to tempt Job to curse God. Despite his difficult circumstances, he does not curse God, but rather curses the day of his birth.

The summary of the book of Job alone should make you want to do 1 of 2 (if not both) things--
1) Read the BIBLE more and see how there is really nothing new underneath the sun. There have been the same exact struggles and challenges since the beginning of mankind. And we still continue to think that we can conceive some crafty way to get around it. It shouldn't take God to strip of everything to test our loyalty to Him. Mama was right...Why not educate yourselves and be prepared once you're challenged?

2) Be on the Look out for the opening date of this movie. Some people are visual learners, colorful learners, so the Bible may not be so tempting to pick up and read. I appreciate the Producers..it makes learning a bit easier when things are produced in an "inticing" manner.

We're all challenged on a day to day basis with our Spirituality, Finances, Social Status, etc.. This made me think a little....the things that I'm living for aren't worth it.  As soon as we put GOD in front of it all--things change. WE (i), have to learn to put our egos aside and focus on the important factors of Life, before its too late.

Kudos to The Smiths once again though.
Bravo.
